About

I’m Liz. I work full-time as a software developer, and I make stained glass in my free time. It started in 2022 after I saw a random video of someone making a panel. No idea why it hit me the way it did, but I immediately fell down the rabbit hole, bought all the tools, and just went for it. I’ve always liked making things with my hands, but something about glass just stuck.

Now it’s become the thing I look forward to most. After a long day of writing code and being Very Professional™, I come home, put on an audiobook, and go into goblin mode in my studio. I cut glass, paint details, solder for hours. It’s messy and slow and extremely not relaxing, but I love it.

I live in Allentown, PA with my husband and our two dogs, who think the studio is their domain. I do everything out of my house - every piece is designed, built, painted, soldered, and finished by me. It’s just me in here, usually running on caffeine and the illusion of free time, trying to make art that feels like the books I can’t stop thinking about.

My work is heavily inspired by fantasy. A lot of it is based on the worlds I wish I could live in- castles, weapons, fae realms, magical landscapes, starry skies. Sarah J. Maas books are a huge influence, and I’m officially licensed to make SJM-inspired pieces, which is still kind of wild to say out loud. I use a lot of iridescent glass because I want my pieces to feel like they have a little bit of magic in them, and I paint most of the details by hand. It takes forever, but I’m not interested in rushing anything. I care about the little things.

Because I work full-time and do all of this on the side, I don’t take commissions. I release collections when I can - usually a few times a year. Everything I make is one of a kind. I don’t have a team or a studio assistant or a production line. It’s just me, doing what I can, when I can.

I post my work, drop updates, and the occasional glass-related meltdown on Instagram @lehighstainedglass. If you’re into fantasy, stained glass, and watching someone work through it in real time, that’s where to find me.
